Dion Lewis got his revenge Sunday against his former team, the New England Patriots, and the Tennessee Titans running back basked in the glory of his team's victory afterward.

"Hell yeah it's personal," Lewis said after helping the Titans rout the Patriots 34-10 in Nashville, according to Michael Giardi of NFL Network. "That's what happens when you go cheap. You get your ass kicked."

Lewis spent three seasons with the Patriots and was a key cog in the 2016 team that captured Super Bowl LI. When it came time for free agency, however, New England let him walk to Tennessee, which gave him a four-year, $19.8-million deal in March.

"I didn't have to prove anything," Lewis added. "I know I can play. I just had to let our team know that these guys are beatable. ... I know those guys. I know that you (can) be physical with them and let them have it and they'll fold."

The 28-year-old Lewis rushed for 57 yards on 20 carries against New England, adding two catches for 11 yards in the passing game.
