Though Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is hoping to play next Sunday versus the New York Giants, missing one more game is possible, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Trubisky missed Thursday's Thanksgiving day win over the Detroit Lions with a shoulder injury. Chase Daniel started in his place, leading the Bears to their fifth straight victory.
If the second-year quarterback does sit out Week 13, he'll be expected to return the following week, per Schefter.
The 8-3 Bears currently lead the NFC North by 2.5 games over the Minnesota Vikings with five contests remaining.
Trubisky has completed 65.4 percent of his passes during his sophomore campaign, tossing 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 10 games.
