Philip Rivers was perfect.
The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback tied Ryan Tannehill of the Miami Dolphins for most consecutive completions when he completed the first 25 passes he threw Sunday versus the Arizona Cardinals.
He threw an incompletion on his 26th attempt and therefore did not set the new record.
Rivers did, however, break the record for the most completions to begin a game. The previous mark was 23 completed passes.
The 15-year veteran had the Chargers up 35-10 late in the third quarter.
