Vikings' Diggs says he'll play vs. Patriots despite knee injury
Minnesota Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday with a knee injury, but said he plans to play Sunday in Week 13 against the New England Patriots, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press' Chris Tomasson.
Earlier this month, Diggs declared himself healthy enough to play in Week 9 against the Detroit Lions after missing a week of practice with a rib injury, only to be inactive on game day.
The star receiver is coming off a big Week 12 performance against the Green Bay Packers that saw him catch eight balls for 77 yards and a touchdown.
With the Vikings' receiving corps looking thin, recently acquired running back Ameer Abdullah took practice snaps with the position group in place of Diggs and Chad Beebe, according to Zone Coverage's Sam Ekstrom. Beebe missed Minnesota's Week 12 game with a hamstring injury.
This season, Diggs has 79 catches for 790 yards and six touchdowns.
