Los Angeles Rams star running back Todd Gurley is inactive for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a knee injury.
The Rams were planning for Gurley to play, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, so it appears the team wasn't satisfied with his pregame tests.
Head coach Sean McVay said Friday that the Rams wouldn't put Gurley at risk by playing him. Backup C.J. Anderson, who was signed last week, could take over as the Rams' top ball carrier.
The Rams are still in the hunt for a first-round bye with the NFC West wrapped up and are looking to bounce back from two straight disappointing offensive performances.
