Miami Dolphins running back Frank Gore was carted to the locker room Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings after suffering a foot injury.
The veteran running back will undergo an MRI on his foot Monday to see if he incurred any ligament damage, but he avoided a fracture,
Gore was diagnosed with a sprain after X-rays on his injured foot came back negative, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game before the beginning of the third quarter.
The 35-year-old entered the game as the Dolphins' leading rusher with 708 yards. He's in the 14th and possibly final season of his illustrious career.
