The Los Angeles Chargers are getting a huge boost at just the right time.

Star running back Melvin Gordon will suit up against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday in Week 16 after missing the last three games with a knee injury, head coach Anthony Lynn said Thursday.

"Melvin's practiced all week and he's doing fine," Lynn told SiriusXM NFL Radio, according to The Athletic's Ross Tucker. "I don't know that he's himself, but he's going to play."

The 25-year-old Gordon has scored 13 total touchdowns this season and is averaging a career-best 5.2 yards per carry.

He'll rejoin Los Angeles amid a fight with the Kansas City Chiefs for first place in the AFC West and likely the conference's No. 1 seed. Both teams sit at 11-3, but the Chargers will need the Chiefs to drop at least one remaining game in order to pass them.
