Dez intent on 2019 comeback: 'I can't end like this'
Dez Bryant is apparently not done throwing up the "X."
The wide receiver said Thursday he's aiming to play in the NFL next season after missing the 2018 campaign due to an extended free-agent stint and a torn Achilles tendon.
"I have to (play again). I got business and I got ball," Bryant said on KRLD-FM, according to Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "I can't end like this. I have to throw the X up."
Bryant signed with the New Orleans Saints in November, ending a seven-month period without a team. But the 30-year-old was injured in practice two days after joining the NFC South team.
The Saints are reportedly open to bringing back the former Dallas Cowboys receiver but it will likely depend on whether Bryant can overcome what's expected to be a lengthy rehabilitation process.
