Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield was fined $10,026 for making a lewd gesture in Week 16 versus the Cincinnati Bengals, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The NFL issued the punishment under the category of unsportsmanlike conduct. Mayfield will appeal the fine, his agent told Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.
The gesture was one of two controversial incidents involving Mayfield against the Bengals. The rookie also gave former coach and current Bengals assistant Hue Jackson an extended glare after scoring a touchdown.
