Xavien Howard wants a contract extension from the Miami Dolphins this offseason that will make him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL, he told Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald.
Howard earned his first Pro Bowl selection this year after notching seven interceptions in 12 games. He missed the final four contests of the season due to injury.
The 25-year-old Baylor product was a second-round pick of the Dolphins in 2016 and has one more year remaining on his rookie deal.
Miami finished the season 7-9 after dropping its final three decisions.
