Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles tied Philip Rivers' record for consecutive completions in a single game by completing 25 straight passes against the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

Foles' attempt to set a new mark fell just short on an incomplete pass to wide receiver Nelson Agholor near the goal line. He completed a touchdown pass to Agholor on the next play that had been initially ruled incomplete before a challenge by the Eagles.

The Super Bowl LII MVP entered the game having completed 59 of 80 pass attempts for 741 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions while leading the Eagles to two straight victories since replacing the injured Carson Wentz under center.

Foles had missed on just three passes before falling short of the record.
