Report: Chiefs OC to meet with Jets, Buccaneers, Dolphins, Bengals
It appears Eric Bieniemy is one of this year's hottest head coaching candidates.
The Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator will interview with the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday, followed by meetings with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday and Cincinnati Bengals on Friday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Bieniemy has elected not to meet with the Arizona Cardinals, Rapoport added.
The 49-year-old helped lead a dynamic Chiefs offense that ranked first in the NFL in total yards per game and points per game in 2018.
League interest surrounding Bieniemy continues the trend of Andy Reid's assistants being targeted for head coaching opportunities. Kansas City's previous two offensive coordinators, Matt Nagy and Doug Pederson, have found success with their new teams, the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively.
