Gonzalez, Reed headline list of 15 Pro Football Hall of Fame finalists

The list of potential 2019 Pro Football Hall of Famers has been whittled down to 15.
The league announced this year's crop of finalists on Thursday. The group is headlined by former superstars and first-year eligible candidates Tony Gonzalez, Ed Reed, and Champ Bailey.
The 15 finalists are:
- Gonzalez, TE, Kansas City Chiefs-Atlanta Falcons
- Reed, S, Baltimore Ravens-New York Jets-Houston Texans
- Bailey, CB, Denver Broncos-Washington Redskins
- Steve Atwater, S, Denver Broncos-New York Jets
- Tony Boselli, T, Jacksonville Jaguars
- Isaac Bruce, WR, St. Louis Rams-San Francisco 49ers
- Alan Faneca, G, Pittsburgh Steelers-New York Jets-Arizona Cardinals
- Steve Hutchinson, G, Seattle Seahawks-Minnesota Vikings-Tennessee Titans
- Edgerrin James, RB, Indianapolis Colts-Arizona Cardinals-Seattle Seahawks
- Ty Law, CB, New England Patriots-New York Jets-Kansas City Chiefs-Denver Broncos
- John Lynch, S, Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Denver Broncos
- Kevin Mawae, C, Seattle Seahawks-New York Jets-Tennessee Titans
- Richard Seymour, DE/DT, New England Patriots-Oakland Raiders
- Don Coryell, coach, St. Louis Cardinals-San Diego Chargers
- Tom Flores, coach, Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders-Seattle Seahawks
Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and former Dallas Cowboys vice president of player personnel Gil Brandt are contributor finalists. Former Dallas Texans and Kansas City Chiefs safety Johnny Robinson is the senior finalist.
The 2019 Hall of Fame class will be unveiled on Feb. 2.
