In the wake of the Bears' playoff exit, one Chicago brewery's issued a challenge to "armchair kickers" who think they can hit a 43-yard field goal.
The Bears lost 16-15 to the Philadelphia Eagles in Sunday's wild-card round after kicker Cody Parkey's 43-yard attempt - which later appeared to be tipped - hit an upright and the crossbar.
"You can't make this up. I feel terrible. I let the team down. That's on me," Parkey said after the game. "I have to own it, I have to be a man and unfortunately that's the way it went today."
Goose Island Beer Co. came to Parkey's defense Monday, announcing it will be giving free beer to those who make the field goal.
The challenge gets underway this Saturday.
