Gurley, Anderson each top 100 yards in Rams' playoff win
The Los Angeles Rams hit the Dallas Cowboys with an unexpected one-two punch on Saturday.
The Rams unleashed the ground duo of Todd Gurley and C.J. Anderson to great success in the divisional-round game. Both backs topped 100 yards rushing and each had at least one score in the 30-22 victory, which sends L.A. to the NFC Championship Game.
Gurley, the franchise stalwart, took a back seat to Anderson on the night but still went off for 115 yards and gashed the Cowboys' defense on a 35-yard touchdown run.
Anderson, signed by the Rams on Dec. 18 as insurance for an ailing Gurley, toted the rock 22 times for 117 yards and two rushing scores.
The 27-year-old was released by the Carolina Panthers in November and waived by the Oakland Raiders a week before signing with the Rams. The six-year vet provides Los Angeles with another weapon as it enters an NFC title matchup with either the New Orleans Saints or Philadelphia Eagles.
