Todd Gurley took a handoff on the Los Angeles Rams' first offensive play of Super Bowl LIII and touched the ball just twice more before halftime.

The star running back conceded the bulk of his backfield duties to C.J. Anderson in the first half, much like he did in the NFC championship. His silence throughout the first half had Twitter users stymied as the Rams battled the New England Patriots in Atlanta:
