Although the Oakland Raiders are speaking to the San Francisco Giants about sharing Oracle Park for the 2019 NFL season, San Francisco mayor London Breed does not want the NFL franchise in her city.

"As far as I'm concerned, the Oakland Raiders should play in Oakland," Breed said to KTVU's Lisa Fernandez on Tuesday.

The Raiders are without a stadium deal for the 2019 season and are scheduled to move to Las Vegas for 2020. The team had played at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum since 1995 but the City of Oakland filed a federal antitrust suit against the team over their upcoming move, nullifying the agreement to play at the stadium for their final year in the city.

The Golden State Warriors are currently playing their final season in Oakland and are scheduled to move to Chase Center in San Francisco - a venue that is currently under construction - for the 2019-20 NBA season. Breed said she doesn't want the Raiders in San Francisco due to ongoing traffic problems caused by the construction of the Warriors' new arena.

"We don't need another layer to add to what we already have - and that's an area that's really congested, filled with construction, and will host a number of basketball and baseball games over the coming months," Breed said.

The San Francisco mayor said she has told the Giants about her perspective.
