Los Angeles Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman was fined $26,739 for a hit on a defenseless player in Super Bowl LIII, according to NFL.com's Jeremy Bergman.

Robey-Coleman was docked for his helmet-to-helmet hit on New England Patriots running back Rex Burkhead in the first quarter of the game, which drew a 15-yard penalty.

It was the second straight game in which the cornerback delivered a blow deemed punishable by the NFL. It was his infamous hit on New Orleans Saints wide receiver Tommylee Lewis late in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship Game that was not flagged by the officials.

Robey-Coleman appealed the first fine, but a hearing date has yet to be set for this latest decision.
