LeBron hopes Kaepernick received 'a hell of a lot of money' from settlement
LeBron James reiterated his support for Colin Kaepernick after the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback resolved his collusion grievance with the NFL.
Speaking to reporters at NBA All-Star media day on Saturday, James said he hopes Kaepernick received a big payout from the settlement and that his actions live on throughout history.
"I hope it's a hell of a lot of money that can set not only him up, but set his family up, set his grandkids up for the rest of their lives," the Los Angeles Lakers star said.
Kaepernick, who began kneeling during the national anthem in 2016 in protest of racial inequality and police brutality, had accused NFL owners of conspiring to keep him out of the league.
Dwyane Wade also voiced his support for Kaepernick on Saturday.
