New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft visited a day spa to solicit prostitutes twice during the weekend of the AFC Championship Game, Palm Beach state attorney Dave Aronberg said at a press conference Monday, according to ESPN's Michele Steele.
Kraft, who was charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution in Florida on Friday, was seen on undercover cameras engaging in an illicit act just hours before New England's game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Jan. 20, according to the affidavit.
According to the document, the billionaire visited the massage parlor just before 11 a.m. He paid cash at the front desk and was escorted to another room, where he removed all his clothes. Kraft then had a sex act performed on him before leaving nearly 15 minutes later.
The Patriots' owner arrived in Kansas City "well before the 6:40 (p.m.) kickoff," according to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.
Aronberg confirmed Kraft - along with the other 24 men involved - was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor. A conviction stipulates "a mandatory 100 hours of community service, a mandatory $5,000 fine and a mandatory class on the dangers of human trafficking," according to Volin.
The 77-year-old's court date is set for April 24, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The NFL said in a statement Monday it is "seeking a full understanding of the facts" and that its personal conduct policy "applies equally to everyone."
