Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle David Irving is suspended indefinitely for violating the Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, the NFL announced Friday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Irving's third suspension in his four-year career comes just days after fellow Cowboys lineman Randy Gregory received an indefinite suspension for violating the substance abuse policy and terms of his reinstatement.
Irving served suspensions at the beginning of each of the previous two campaigns for violating the league's drug policy.
The Cowboys were reportedly parting ways with the 25-year-old for a variety of issues, regardless of the suspension, Rapoport added.
