The Miami Dolphins are shopping quarterback Ryan Tannehill and have discussed a trade with the Washington Redskins, a source told Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
The market has been quiet for the veteran of seven seasons, but the Redskins have a distinct need at quarterback. Alex Smith isn't expected to return from a broken leg in time to contribute in 2019.
The Dolphins brought in Brian Flores to be their head coach and are also looking for a new quarterback.
