The Dallas Cowboys are placing the franchise tag on defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence for a second straight year, sources told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
However, the two-time Pro Bowler reportedly will not sign the tag, according to the Star-Telegram's Clarence Hill Jr.
The Cowboys have until July 15 to sign a long-term agreement.
After the 2018 season, the 26-year-old voiced his desire to remain in Dallas "for the long haul."
Lawrence recorded 64 total tackles, 10.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles during the 2018 campaign. He'd earn $20.5 million in 2019 with the tag.
