The New York Giants are unlikely to franchise-tag safety Landon Collins, sources told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
The Giants reportedly consider the $11.1-million tag salary to be too expensive.
Collins is expected to enter the free agent market on March 13 barring any changes.
The three-time Pro Bowler has recorded at least 96 tackles in each of his four seasons in the league. He had five tackles for losses, one forced fumble, and four pass deflections during the 2018 campaign.
