The Denver Broncos have released safety Darian Stewart, he announced via Instagram on Wednesday.
Stewart was due roughly $5 million this upcoming season, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
The veteran defender spent the last four seasons with the Broncos after signing with the team in 2015. He was entering the last year of his contract.
Stewart accumulated 60 tackles, two interceptions, and one sack in 2018. He'll join a number of starting-caliber safeties on the open market.
