Unrestricted free-agent defensive tackle Malik Jackson is expected to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Jackson will receive a three-year contract worth $30 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter clarified, citing a source. Initial reports indicated the lineman would earn $10 million total.

The veteran defender signed a six-year, $85.5-million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars in March 2016. His playing time was reduced in the second half of last season, but he's still an effective interior pass-rusher. He accumulated 3.5 sacks in 2018 and eight sacks the year prior.

Jackson will slide in next to Fletcher Cox on Philadelphia's strong front four. The team recently declined Timmy Jernigan's $11-million option for 2019.
