The Green Bay Packers are expected to sign outside linebacker Za'Darius Smith once free agency officially begins, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Terms of Smith's new contract have yet to be disclosed.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a breakout 2018 season with the Baltimore Ravens, accumulating 8.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
With Clay Matthews testing the open market and Nick Perry rumored to be released, edge rusher was a primary need for head coach Matt LaFleur's squad heading into 2019.
