Jason McCourty will be back with the New England Patriots in 2019, as the veteran cornerback is signing a two-year contract to remain with the Super Bowl champions, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
McCourty was acquired from the Cleveland Browns prior to last season and started 12 games for the Patriots. He recorded an interception and starred in coverage during the team's playoff run.
The defensive back previously expressed interest in re-signing with New England to continue playing with his brother, Devin.
The 31-year-old will once again compete for a starting spot opposite All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore in 2019.
