The New Orleans Saints have signed former New England Patriots defensive tackle Malcom Brown to a three-year contract, the club announced Thursday.
The deal is worth $15 million, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Brown was a first-round pick of the Patriots in 2015. He served as an effective run-stuffer, but never developed into the pass-rusher New England thought he could be when the team selected him.
The 25-year-old collected 39 tackles last year but failed to record a sack all season for the first time in his four-year career.
