The Detroit Lions signed running back Malcolm Brown, a restricted free agent from the Los Angeles Rams, to an offer sheet Tuesday.
The offer sheet is worth $3.25 million over two years and contains $1 million guaranteed, according to Albert Breer of The MMQB.
The Rams now have five days to match the offer.
Brown rushed for 212 yards on 43 carries for the Rams last season before finishing the campaign on injured reserve.
The 25-year-old wasn't drafted and was tendered at an original-round level, meaning L.A. won't receive compensation from Detroit if the team lets him go.
