Like almost everyone else, Odell Beckham Jr. was surprised by the blockbuster trade that sent him from the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns. However, that surprise quickly turned to optimism.

"It was definitely a shock, but I've come to grips with everything," Beckham said at a press conference Monday, according to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot.

"I was heading to dinner and I remember seeing (Giants general manager Dave) Gettleman calling and I knew something was going down," he said, according to Newsday's Tom Rock. "... It was a lot of emotions, a lot of thoughts that run through your mind. Your whole life is changing."

Now that he's officially a member of the Browns, Beckham is ready to turn the page on his days with the Giants and be a vital member of a team on the rise.

"I think this is the biggest blessing of my entire life," the wide receiver said, according to Rock.

Beckham added, "I've watched this team from afar. Now it's like it's finally here and I'm excited to be a part of something like this, a team that is ascending and kind of changing the culture."

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the star wideout's move is his reunion with former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry. Beckham disclosed that the duo often dreamed about playing together and earning spots in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

"I feel like we spoke this into existence," he said, according to Cabot. "We dreamed of this. It's like surreal."

"If I wanted to be anywhere else, I wanted to be alongside my brother (Landry)," Beckham added, according to Rock. "He made me who I am today. He's taken me to a level of greatness, this legendary stuff we talk about."
