Lions GM wants to trade down from No. 8 pick
Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn has made it known that the No. 8 pick in this year's draft is available through trade.
"I always like draft picks, so if we can move back a couple spots and pick up another pick, I think the depth of this draft from the late first to the third, there's a lot of really good players in there," Quinn said on the "Rapsheet and Friends" podcast, according to NFL.com's Herbie Teope.
"If I could move back a few spots, add a great player and a pick, that'd be something that would be great. People out there listening, I'm open for business."
Names currently linked to the Lions at No. 8 include defensive linemen Montez Sweat, Rashan Gary, Brian Burns, and Ed Oliver, as well as cornerback Greedy Williams.
The scuffling club has a number of needs to fill, however, and may be better served to collect a larger haul rather than take the best player available.
