AB fuels feud with JuJu by posting old DM from ex-teammate
The war of the wideouts is apparently far from over.
A day after Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster engaged in a heated Twitter spat, the Oakland Raiders receiver posted what appears to be an old direct message from his former Pittsburgh Steelers teammate to his Instagram account.
In the since-deleted message, dated to 2015, Smith-Schuster (then a USC player) appears to laud Brown and ask the veteran wideout for tips on becoming a better receiver.
Brown then switched social media platforms, but his intended message wasn't clear.
The social media spat kicked off Sunday when Brown, responding to a fan, called out Smith-Schuster's critical fumble in a Week 16 loss to the New Orleans Saints that all but ended Pittsburgh's playoff hopes.
Smith-Schuster quickly reacted, tweeting "keep your emotions off the internet" in reference to an earlier post by Brown. He added that he'd always shown Brown "love and respect" and accused the perennial Pro Bowler of having a big ego.
It was rumored that Brown's desire to leave Pittsburgh was partly driven by the Steelers voting Smith-Schuster as team MVP over him.
