Hill present for Chiefs' offseason workouts despite police investigation
The Kansas City Chiefs opened their offseason workout program Monday and wideout Tyreek Hill was in attendance despite being the subject of a police investigation into alleged battery this offseason.
"I know you're going to potentially ask about Tyreek. Tyreek is here," head coach Andy Reid told reporters, including the Kansas City Star's Pete Grathoff, Sam McDowell, and Blair Kerkhoff, on Monday.
"I don't have anything further to tell you from the statement we put out. There's been no new news on it. I'm going to leave it at that."
An investigation into alleged battery involving Hill's 3-year-old son at his home is ongoing. The Chiefs acknowledged the probe in March and have not released a statement on the situation since.
Reid did not go into further detail on Monday.
"I have had a chance to say hello to him. I have done that. And again, see him in the meeting," the coach said.
