Report: Seahawks' Wilson gifts O-line Amazon stock
A week after signing his extension, Russell Wilson is paying it forward.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback gifted each of his offensive linemen $12,000 in Amazon stock, according to ESPN.
The 30-year-old wrote a letter expressing his gratitude to all 13 linemen.
"You sacrifice your physical and mental well-being to protect me, which in turn allows me to provide and care for my family," Wilson wrote. "This does not go unnoticed and it is never forgotten."
Wilson said he wanted to provide a gift that would have a long-term impact on his teammates and their families.
"You have invested in my life," Wilson wrote. "This is my investment into yours."
Amazon's headquarters are located in Seattle.
Wilson became the highest-paid player in the NFL when he signed a four-year, $140-million extension last week.
