Report: Peterson 'pissed' at member of Cardinals' front office
Patrick Peterson was not in attendance Tuesday as the Arizona Cardinals kicked off voluntary minicamp, and some tension between the star corner and management might've been the reason for his absence.
A member of Arizona's management apparently said something to Peterson that "pissed him off," a source told Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic. Somers' source added that the incident isn't yet significant enough to force a trade.
Rumors swirled Tuesday that a trade to the Kansas City Chiefs could be imminent after the eight-time Pro Bowler deleted references to the Cardinals from his social media, but were quickly refuted by multiple outlets.
Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury also shot down speculation when he said he knew Peterson wouldn't be in attendance and the cornerback isn't leaving the team, according to Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site.
Peterson asked to be traded midway through last season only to rescind his demand and then announce his commitment to the Cardinals on a golf course in January.
