Amid trade speculation and uncertainty over his NFL future, Gerald McCoy didn't exactly provide clarity regarding his absence from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason.

McCoy has skipped various voluntary offseason programs, leading to speculation that he has played his final snap with the Bucs.

The veteran defensive tackle told Mike Cairns of Spectrum Sports that he'll "be playing football somewhere," but when asked if it would be in Tampa Bay, he responded "I don't know, we'll see."

McCoy's status with the Buccaneers has been in flux ever since Tampa ushered in a 3-4 defense with the arrival of its new coaching staff, while the 31-year-old has spent the bulk of his career in 4-3 sets.

Head coach Bruce Arians previously questioned McCoy's recent effectiveness, and general manager Jason Licht said in April that there hadn't been any developments with the six-time Pro Bowler.

McCoy totaled 28 tackles with six sacks and a team-high 21 quarterback hits in 2018. He carries a $13-million cap hit into the 2019 season, but none of that money is guaranteed.
