It's safe to say Quinnen Williams is enjoying the early portions of his NFL career.

The rookie defensive tackle wrapped up his first rookie orientation on Friday and explained the excitement he felt when meeting his New York Jets teammates.

"I was like a little fan at first... I didn't even know I was gonna start." Williams told reporters, according to NFL.com's Grant Gordon. "So to be in this position right now, I'm like bro, that's crazy. I met Le'Veon Bell yesterday. I'm like, 'Whoa, that's Le'Veon Bell, the No. 1 running back in the NFL.' It's just crazy.

"I know I'm one of the people, too, but I don't really look at it like that. I met Sam Darnold, that's crazy. Jamal Adams, I've got Jamal Adams on my (Madden NFL) ultimate team. It's crazy."

Williams - the No. 3 overall pick in April's draft - is quickly becoming a fan favorite in New York. The former Alabama star admitted he's looking forward to tracking down the NFL's top quarterbacks.

"It's crazy because Tom Brady started playing in the NFL before I was born," Williams said. "To sack him would be amazing."
