Security guard wants better apology from Elliott: 'It didn't seem sincere'
The Las Vegas security guard who was shoved into a metal gate by Ezekiel Elliott wants a genuine response from the Dallas Cowboys running back.
"I did get an apology from him. It wasn't a sincere apology," 19-year-old Kevin Johnson told CBS Los Angeles. "He didn't maintain eye contact. It didn't seem sincere at all."
Elliott was briefly handcuffed - but not arrested - after getting into an argument with a woman who was identified as his girlfriend and then physically confronting Johnson. The altercation took place May 19 at a music festival.
"I wasn't hurt or anything, but just to have someone that you looked up to shove you on the ground over a metal fence?" Johnson said. "It's not the biggest thing in the world, but really, (to say) nothing happened? I mean, come on."
Johnson didn't press charges against Elliott, but the NFL is reportedly expected to review the incident to determine whether the running back should be disciplined under the personal conduct policy.
Elliott led the NFL in rushing last season for the second time in his three-year career.
