Odell Beckham Jr. made waves again when he accused the New York Giants not being "man enough" to sit down face to face with him to discuss his trade to the Cleveland Browns.

Giants head coach Pat Shurmur responded to Beckham's comments Wednesday at the beginning of training camp, insisting that he and the organization acted in good faith and reached out in the best way they could at the time.

"I know when the trade was made, we felt like we went through it in a professional way," Shurmur said. "He was out of the country at the time when it happened and we made efforts to get in touch with him. I know (general manager Dave Gettleman) actually did speak to him, but I made efforts to get in touch with him both through phone and texts but he was out of the country."

Shurmur concluded by insisting that the organization hopes Beckham plays well in Cleveland and helps them win games.
