New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas did not report to the team's facility on Thursday as the 26-year-old is currently seeking a new deal, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Both parties have negotiated for weeks, Schefter added.
The Saints reportedly offered Thomas a deal averaging $18-19 million per year, however, he is apparently seeking a contract that would make him the first receiver to earn an average of $20 million per year.
Odell Beckham Jr. currently leads the receivers market with an average annual salary of $18 million.
Thomas can be fined $40,000 for each day of training camp he misses, Schefter reports.
The two-time Pro Bowler had a league-leading 125 catches last season with 1,405 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
