Redskins' Moses wears Trent Williams jersey at presser amid camp holdout
Trent Williams isn't attending Washington Redskins training camp, and the left tackle's absence isn't lost on his teammates.
Starting right tackle Morgan Moses showed up for his Sunday press conference wearing Williams' No. 71 jersey and played the role of Williams while speaking to reporters.
"I miss my guys," Moses said as he impersonated Williams, according to NFL.com's Jelani Scott. "I miss the hogs. I miss Brandon (Scherff) and Morgan (Moses). It's about that time man. Get ready for these guys."
Williams, 31, is currently holding out; the veteran tackle is reportedly upset with the team's handling of a medical situation that involved removing a growth from his head. He's also seeking a new deal with two years remaining on his $68-million contract.
"(I'm) pretty sure he wants to be here," Moses said, according to ESPN's John Keim. "He has to figure out some things that are above my pay grade."
Forming one of the top tackle tandems in the NFL, Moses and Williams have bookended Washington's offensive line for the last four seasons.
