At 28 years old and entering his sixth NFL campaign, Khalil Mack is eager to capture a Super Bowl before his playing days draw to an end.

The Chicago Bears pass-rusher says former Oakland Raiders teammates Charles Woodson and Justin Tuck offered some wise words regarding how quickly their careers passed them by, and he's taken those lessons to heart.

"You're running out of time, man," Mack told reporters, according to Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times. "All these older dudes let us know at an early point in my career, man, we ain't got no time to waste."

When asked if he feels he's running out of time, Mack said: "Absolutely. You've gotta win. Gotta win now."

The three-time All-Pro claimed these feelings are what bothered him most during his holdout from the Raiders last summer, as he wanted to be a part of a team ready to compete for a championship.

"(My holdout) seems so long ago now," Mack said. "I was antsy because I love the game ... and it was real hard to stay away from it for so long. This year, back in the grind, it feels great."

One of the game's top defenders, Mack was dominant during his first season in Chicago. He amassed 47 tackles, six forced fumbles, and 12.5 sacks, his highest total since 2015.
