The Philadelphia Eagles added some veteran experience Saturday by signing Josh McCown, who is the oldest player on the roster at 40 years old.
McCown's age is a big reason why Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is fond of him.
"He's 40. He's close to my age," Pederson, 51, said with a laugh when asked what he liked most about the quarterback, according to Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal.
McCown came out of retirement to sign a one-year deal with the Eagles and reportedly plans to resume his broadcasting job with ESPN after this season. If he ends up throwing a pass for the Eagles in a regular-season game, he'll become the oldest player in team history to do so.
