Mayfield clarifies Daniel Jones remarks: Media created 'clickbait story'
Baker Mayfield believes his comments regarding New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones were blown out of proportion.
The Cleveland Browns signal-caller posted an Instagram story Tuesday to clarify his thoughts from a recent interview with GQ, during which he stated he was shocked the Giants selected Jones sixth overall and that teams "forget you've gotta win" when evaluating quarterbacks.

"I also said I was surprised I got drafted No. 1," he said in the comment section. "Then (I) was talking about the flaws in evaluating QBs. (That's) where I brought up winning being important.
"Reporters and media will do anything to come up with a clickbait story. Heard nothing but good things and wish nothing but the best for Daniel."
The outspoken passer has produced several noteworthy quotes this offseason. He admitted in July that he enjoyed beating former head coach Hue Jackson last season and recently stated that fans and pundits want to see the Browns lose "because the hype is so real."
