Free-agent wide receiver Dontrelle Inman is reportedly re-signing with the Los Angeles Chargers, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The New England Patriots released Inman on Sunday. He appeared surplus to requirements after Josh Gordon's reinstatement and Julian Edelman's return from injury.
Inman spent 2014-17 with the Chargers before stints with the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts. His best season came in 2016 when he caught 58 passes for 810 yards and four touchdowns.
The veteran wideout joins a receiving corps that's led by Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Travis Benjamin. Allen is dealing with an ankle injury that will likely sideline him for the rest of the preseason but shouldn't stop him from suiting up in Week 1.
