DeAngelo Hall: 'Zero chance' Williams joins Redskins before Week 1
It appears Trent Williams isn't planning to play for the Washington Redskins in their season opener.
While appearing on The Athletic's "Hail to the Pod" on Thursday, former Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall claimed he recently spoke with Williams, and that the lineman has no plans to show up before Washington's Week 1 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
"I reached out to him and he's like, 'Man there's zero chance I'll be in that building next week,'" Hall said of Williams. "I talked to him and he's like 'Nah, I'm not showing up. We haven't talked. We haven't addressed the issues.'"
Hall's report came a day after team president Bruce Allen said Williams will "be with us" in 2019.
Williams hasn't attended any team activities throughout the summer. He's reportedly upset with how the Redskins handled his recent medical situation and is also searching for a new contract, though Allen refused to address either of those situations.
Washington has reportedly turned down several trade offers from other teams for the seven-time Pro Bowler.
