Report: McCoy being pursued by Chiefs, Eagles, Chargers, Patriots
LeSean McCoy apparently isn't short of suitors following his surprise release from the Buffalo Bills.
The four teams showing the most interest in the veteran running back are the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, and New England Patriots, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
All four clubs are widely viewed as title contenders. Each team could give the 31-year-old a legitimate chance at earning his first Super Bowl ring.
The Chargers could need an experienced option alongside Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson after giving holdout running back Melvin Gordon permission to seek a trade.
The Chiefs, Eagles, and Patriots aren't in dire need of more backfield depth. However, McCoy's former coach, Andy Reid, is in Kansas City, Philadelphia is where the running back started his career, and New England is known for its love of squeezing the remaining production out of aging former Pro Bowlers.
McCoy produced a career-low in both rushing yards (514) and yards-per-carry average (3.2) while scoring just three total touchdowns in 2018.
