T.Y. Hilton isn't letting Andrew Luck's surprise retirement temper his expectations for the 2019 campaign.

"This is the best team I've ever been a part of," he said Thursday, according to Stephen Holder of The Athletic.

The Indianapolis Colts were pegged as Super Bowl contenders with Luck at the helm. Though few are still on the hype train following the quarterback's exit, Hilton was quick to point out that the team still possesses talent at multiple other positions.

"(Luck) is a great guy and (I) take nothing away from (him), but this team is good," the star receiver said, via ESPN's Mike Wells.

"I've been on good teams, I've been on not so good teams," he continued. "But this team, especially, we have pretty much everything you need to have on the field."

Jacoby Brissett will take over for Luck as the Colts' starting signal-caller. General manager Chris Ballard expressed confidence in Brissett to lead the team, calling him a "winning football player" while signing him to a two-year contract extension.

Hilton failed to produce up to his standards in 2017 when Luck battled a shoulder injury. The wideout's 57 catches and 966 receiving yards were the second-lowest totals of his career. His four touchdowns were his lowest.
