Report: Brown making trip for Dolphins game, expected to play
New England Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown is reportedly making the trip to face the Miami Dolphins and is expected to play in Sunday's game, according to Ian Rapoport and Michael Giardi of NFL Network.
Brown is reportedly eligible to suit up for his Patriots debut after the NFL decided it won't, at this time, place him on the commissioner's exempt list after he was accused of rape in a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday.
The Patriots officially signed Brown the day before the lawsuit was filed.
Brown's former trainer says that he sexually assaulted her on three separate occasions over 2017 and 2018. Brown denies the allegations.
The All-Pro wideout is coming off a 1,297-yard, 15-touchdown season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was traded to Oakland in March and subsequently signed a three-year deal with the Raiders, but was released last week without ever playing a game for the team.
